10 Step Hiring Process

  1. Review Resumes from Indeed, Head Hunters, Recruiters
  2. Check Social Media for warning signs (racism, excessive drinking, drug use, sexist comments. radical political views, anything that makes you girl uncomfortable)… Eliminate from consideration if they have any of these
  3. Call Candidate and schedule initial group interview on a Wednesday. Send calendar email invite with Zoom Link for person handling interview (Tom and Chad will rotate Wednesdays). Also send an email template to confirm they receive invite and will be on job interview
  4. Be on interview with Tom or l and take notes on each candidate… Initial Interviews to be 45 minutes with a 15/minute debrief at the end…. Discussion with Tom or Chad for 15 minutes about ranking candidates…. Top 2 candidates get a second interview with other person on Friday for a half hour Interview scheduled (e.g. if Tom does Wednesday initial interview Chad does second interview) ….. If there are more than two candidates to interview confirm with partner how to handle other interviews
  5. Assign homework to candidates we’re still interested in (Todd Scrima and Rick Ruby YouTube research and answers to any industry questions they missed during the interview
  6. Schedule second interview on Friday with the other partner (e.g. if Tom does Wednesday initial interview Chad does second interview)… other partner must do a full interview answering all interview questions (attached)
  7. Debrief with person on Friday interview (both Evelyn and Jackie need to pe on with partner) and determine if they will have a final interview
  8. If partner, Eyelyn, and Jackie agree to final interview provide the DISC test as homework and forward along with Resume and Full Interview Questions from Second interview (all questions must be answered)…. Final interview should be with person that did initial interview (e.g. If Chad did original Wednesday interview, he would do final interview).. Jaclyn will put interview in other partners calendar and call candidate along with DISC, Homework, and resume
  9. Invite the team members along with partner to final interview. The partner must make the referral of who we should be hiring this position for (e.g. Tom must say if for Mike Black’s team that LO,LP1, and LP2 are at interview) .. Put this meeting on partners Zoom (Tom’s Zoom if Tom is doing interview and Chad’s if Chad is doing final interview)
  10. Partner doing final interview makes final pitch-end extends offer or delegates to who should. If partner that does final interview decides to move forward then informs other partner and Jackie/Evelyn to get process started ASAP on hiring requisition, ordering of equipment and discussion on pre-offer letter (salary and start dates).

12 Steps of Hiring

  1. Ask for referrals look to recruit
  2. Scrub resumes
  3. Look at social media for warning signs (Carrie & Evelyn)
  4. Call candidates you like and have initial conversation. If applying for Front End Sales Role Have interviewee send a video saying why they want the position and share something about them.
  5. Have operations manager/or LP do “first take” interview.
  6. If we like after interview, Send out Minesh’s link on Disc and our knowledge check and application package (due back within 48 hours)
  7. Chad/Tom talks Minesh about Disc
  8. Face-to-face interview with Tom and Chad. Final interview. Interview as a group with myself, Sales Manager, Operations Manager. Everyone fills out the interview questionnaire and before we discuss all rate the interviewee Also get interview questionnaire from front desk.
  9. Have team come in and interview. Have them ask questions to test knowledge on the position (e.g. LP1s should interview LP1 candidates). Have team provide thumbs up or down on the hire. Have team take interviewee to lunch to get in a more casual environment. I let everyone order a “drink” to see if anything “slips”…Only the team goes, and they report back to me if they want to hire or they see any red flags. Has saved many people I would have hired that would not have t our team culture.
  10. Perform reference tracks on the last three bosses and authorization to pull credit and background check.
  11. Make a decision and close them.
  12. Have lunch with team after they think they’re hired and look for warning signs.
