Gifting: How To

How To Set Up a Gifting Program
There are several different groups and people that we gift in the Core. In most
instances- these are the groups:
• Team members birthday + anniversary + kids’ birthdays + work anniversary
• VIP- random and birthday + expecting a baby, life change – kid going to college, ill
(COVID/flu baskets)
• Spouse
• Cheesy gifts (for database and/or VIP popbys) – have a surplus to deliver when
needed
• Closing Gifts
Steps to put together a gifting program are as follows:
1. Assign someone on your team to own the gifting program for you.
2. Set a monthly budget for your gifting program. (Budget is based on monthly
income) Suggestions: $25-$100 for birthday gifts $25-$50 for closing gifts.
Depending on the level of VIP, money spent may vary.
3. Set a monthly time to meet up with team member to discuss gifts needed for the
upcoming month.
4. Make sure you have all about you forms on employees and VIP’s to be referenced
when gifting them.
5. Make sure you have a plan for delivering gifts (if you choose to do so).
6. Have employee present a monthly breakdown of all gifts and expenses to leader
monthly.
*Avoid gifting items with your logo on them. The idea behind the gift is to make people
feel special and it is much more special to have their name on something than your logo.
**Use the all about you form to deliver affordable impactful gifts vs. large non-specific
gift cards
