Morning Meeting Themes
Monday meetings always revolve around goal setting. Robyn has every Team member set two goals for themselves (personal, work, chores, physical goals, etc.) Typically, we begin Monday meetings by talking about our goals from the previous week and reflect on the outcome. Then we all set 2 more goals for that week and we help hold one another accountable. We always have someone take notes of every person’s goals and send them out in an email after Monday’s meeting. We can set our individual goals according to our own capacity, so everyone should be able to achieve them. If someone falls short of achieving their goals, they owe $20 into a pot that we set aside to donate to those in need (whether that be a charity, local non-profit, or families we know in our community who may need a leg up). We do this donation at the end of the year around Christmas time – the perfect time of year to give. 😊
Tuesday meetings are centered around the pipeline specifically. As a Team, we download on every single loan we have on the pipeline. This is an opportunity for smooth communication amongst Team members, clarification on anything that is unclear, and a chance to really dive into all of the files as one group. This meeting begins 30 minutes earlier than those every other day of the week to ensure that we have plenty of time to talk about every single loan.
Wednesday meetings are done with the whole branch. We have a specific time set aside for “training moments.” Robyn typically focuses on something we should improve on as a Team (that week in particular) and really dives into specific solutions on how to grow and become better.
Thursday meeting are also done with the whole branch. These meetings always include “role play” scenarios based off of situations we could always improve on. For example, we have role played phone calls between a Team member and a ‘client.’ Robyn will usually be taking one of the roles and tries to stump us (in a helpful way 😊) and challenge us to make us really think critically about how to improve ourselves and how we interact with clients. She will always wrap up these role play scenarios by diving into clear, concise and meaningful takeaways on how we can integrate improvements into our everyday interactions with clients so that they feel taken care of.
Friday meetings are geared toward catering. Robyn caters to her team very generously. We print out and read 5 star surveys from the previous week and anyone who specifically gets their name mentioned gets to spin the wheel – which has a bunch of different rewards on it (such as Amazon, Starbucks, GrubHub gift cards, a weekend at her cabin, and even $100 cash). She also buys the Team lunch or coffee at the end of every week. She does not hold back on showing her team appreciation, and that is what Friday meetings are all about. They are very fun and rewarding, and the team is very thankful.
